The art is done in a playful chop suey style-a hallmark of aloha wear prints from this era-featuring various surf and ocean motifs interwoven with text. The vintage-inspired button-down collar, French front placket, and coconut buttons pay homage to traditional aloha shirt silhouettes, with a matched pocket adding a classic touch. The bold, saturated colors are achieved with discharge printing, a complex process that involves extracting dye from fabric to reveal a motif.
